In my free time, I like doing sports such as swimming or riding the bike, going outside and meeting friends. Still, my all-time number one hobby is definitely playing the piano!

I feel like participating in this program is a huge opportunity: Not only can I improve my English skills, I also have the chance to meet new people and to make important experiences.

That is why I just can't wait to go to Ireland, spend an unforgettable time there and get to know the Irish culture.

 See you soon!

Hey there!

My name is Kathleen Winter and I´m an 18 year old Austrian girl. To be explicit in West Austria, Bregenz, born and raised. My parents wanted me to have a unique name, so they gave me an irish one.

At the moment I´m attending the upper-level secondary vocational college HAK Bregenz. After this school I would like to study either in Vienna or in a foreign city like Berlin, Amsterdam or Madrid. This wish is due to the possibilities and diversity a capital city offers.

During my leisure time I like to draw, enjoy music and the Lake of Constance and to spend as much time as possible with friends and family.

Irish culture has had a significant influence on other cultures, particularly in the fields of literature and, to a lesser degree, science and education. I previously had the opportunity to visit Irland approximantely four years ago. I stayed in Bangor which is the partner city of Bregenz and I also got to visit the capital city Dublin. During this trip I got fascinated by Irland and its landscape, culture and nice people.
