My work placement during our stay in Kilkenny was a café called "Orange Café" at the Danville Business Park. I was working as a coffeeshop assistant from 9am or 10am (it depends) to 4:30 pm. Most of the time I started to help in the kitchen and do the dishes. After that I was in the café and did different things, it depends on which kind of work needs to be done. For example my tasks were cleaning and setting up tables, dropping the food to the tables and taking orders. Sometimes I had jobs like cleaning cabinets and tidy them up. In the end of the day everybody had to help with the cleaning. My tasks were cleaning the dish washer in the kitchen and the coffee machine and I also had to hoover the floor and the carpets.

I really liked my job in this sweet, little café. Especially because I had so many tasks and every day was different in comparison to the day before. Also the staff there is great! I liked them all and I'm sure that I’ve improved my English trough talking to them and the customers. I'm grateful for this work placement.
